ALL SHALL PERISH
ALL SHALL PERISH are like the Oakland Raiders, the football team from where the band resides; full of bad asses and if you’re a hater expect to get a ton of shit from their diehard fans, if not the rims of your car stolen. With people like Kirk Hammett (METALLICA) and Rob Flynn (MACHINE HEAD) sighting the band as favorites, it’s only a matter a time before the franchise known as ALL SHALL PERISH starts to fill sports arenas themselves. Couple that with their rapidly growing popularity and their huge musical growth over a relatively short amount of time, and the comparison isn’t such a stretch of the imagination. Now with This Is Where It Ends, the band have once again created a defining moment in their careers and cemented themselves as leaders of the new wave of extreme metal. If you ever doubted them, it’s best you back away now slowly while facing the angry mob.
Formed with the intent of not being labeled with the restricting monikers of “death metal”, “hardcore” or “metalcore,” ALL SHALL PERISH blasted onto the bay area scene in 2002 playing every kind of show imaginable. After recording a self-titled 3 song demo, the Japanese label Amputated Vein Records released their first full-length album Hate.Malice.Revenge. (2003). After a ton of underground D.I.Y. touring, the band signed a world wide deal with Nuclear Blast records in December of 2004. Nuclear Blast rereleased Hate.Malice.Revenge. in early ‘05 and ALL SHALL PERISH spent the rest of 2005 touring and writing their second record. Successful tours with the likes of SIX FEET UNDER, AS I LAY DYING, BLEEDING THROUGH, BRUJERIA, DYING FETUS and DIECAST all helped expose the band to a new and diverse audience.
Ever since then, ALL SHALL PERISH have been re-defining the death and grind genres with vibrant ideas and unrelenting delivery. Giving us brutal music that possesses a natural need to experiment and push the boundaries of the extreme underground. While Hate.Malice.Revenge. quickly gave the band a name throughout the underground, it was their second offering, The Price Of Existence, that turned the death metal and underground masses on their collective ear. The release earned them the reputation of being one of the best young extreme acts from the United States in this new millennium. Tours with such genre leaders as AGNOSTIC FRONT, THROWDOWN, TERROR, HATE ETERNAL, RED CHORD, DESPISED ICON, SUICIDE SILENCE, ARSIS and THE FACELESS would follow. Soon the band set their sites on writing a new record and just one question was on everyone’s mind; could they possibly top The Price of Existence?
Jump to 2008 and the answer was obviously a resounding, YES THEY CAN! Awaken The Dreamers saw the band adding new elements to their sound and expanding their reach even more with tours with DANZIG, WINDS OF PLAGUE, EMMURE, JOB FOR A COWBOY, KATAKLYSM, BORN OF OSIRIS and as a part of the Summer Slaughter Tour package. Awaken The Dreamers was also the band’s first release to make The Billboard 200 charts and entered at position No. 126 upon release. It was during the promotional cycle for this record that lead guitarist Chris Storey left the band along with founding member, drummer Matt Kuykendall. Some people wondered how the band would bounce back from the loss of such key members. Subsequent tours with their replacements though quickly put any doubts to rest. Newly invigorated and with everything to prove, the band began working on new material for their next release.
While Awaken The Dreamers saw the band focusing on a more experimental and melodic side, This Is Where It Ends conveys more of the raw energy, groove and technicality that put them on the map in first place. Add even stronger hooks and melodies than before and you have ALL SHALL PERISH’s best work to date. New guitarist Francesco Artusato scorches the fretboard with some fresh jazz/fusion tinged lines, that are both melodic and defy the laws of physics at the same time. New drummer Adam Pierce also leaves jaws dropping and eyes a poppin’ with his mind boggling fills and some warp speed tempos. As always, vocalist Eddie Hermida astounds people with his range, impassioned delivery and never ending diversity. But most importantly, the core riff writting team of bassist Mike Tiner and guitarist Ben Orum craft some of the most powerful and exciting riffs in modern metal today. Tracks like “Divine Illusion”, “Procession of Ashes”, and “Royalty Into Exile” are sure to be fan favorites for years to come and staples in the bands live set.
This Is Where It Ends was produced and mixed once again by the always in demand Zach Ohren (DECREPIT BIRTH, ODIOUS MORTEM, LIGHT THIS CITY), capturing the unbridled energy of their live shows more effectively than ever. Add in the striking artwork of artist Brent Elliott White (DEATH ANGEL, JOB FOR A COWBOY, WHITE CHAPEL) and This Is Where It Ends is a truly an experience for all the senses. Without a doubt, the future of metal has arrived and if you aren’t paying attention you might get left by the wayside with your car on bricks.

“No Time to Waste – words that everyone should live by in their daily lives. But the song is not about that. Rather it’s about all of us together having no time to waste as a free species. Everyone you talk to today says something isn’t right in the world and most can’t point out what it is that makes them feel that way. Their gut tells them something isn’t right. This song is about what we feel isn’t right with the world today and we urge people to wake up before it’s too late. It isn’t about being woke but being awake. The song is at its core about unity and coming together to defeat our mutual enemy. Every great story has a hero and a villain. We the people are the hero in this song.” – Aftermath On March 17, 2023, the band is releasing No Time To Waste, their third album in a trilogy, on which the title track described above is included. The new album is a departure from the previous dark, concept album installment in the trilogy. It also includes the band’s reimagining of the John Lennon classic, Give Peace a Chance. The album was engineered and mixed by Chuck Macak at Elektroworks Music and Mastered by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound New York.
AGALLOCH
Despite their style being firmly grounded in the dark metal genre, Agalloch has always been a band who prefers experimentation over settling on a niche. The result has been three full-lengths and a handful of EPs that have bridged the gap between gothic doom, black metal, neo-folk, post rock, and industrial/ambient soundscapes. The band has earned a rabid cult following over the years due in part to their artistic & independent attitude, elusive aura, and scarce but volatile live performances.
AGENT ORANGE
The Original Southern California Punk/Surf Power Trio, Agent Orange, is one of only a handful of bands who have been continually active since the earliest days of the West Coast Punk Scene.
A small circle of musical rebels who came together to form a movement, they took their place front and center to experience and participate in the explosion of now legendary underground music that was created during the golden era of American Punk Rock.
Being the first to combine the melodic California surf guitar sound with the frantic energy of punk, Agent Orange invented the formula that would come to define the Orange County punk sound. Highly influential to many of the bands who have followed in their path, Agent Orange have always stayed one step ahead.
Their strong connection to the Action Sports world has resulted in their music providing the soundtrack to numerous major motion pictures, video games, surf and skate films, television, and live sports events.
The last of the true independents, Agent Orange have managed to stay true to their roots, while always moving forward. Powered by a loyal following built up through years of explosive live performances all over the world, Agent Orange continue to deliver their Fullblown-Supercharged-Punk-Surf Sound on an international basis, with a never ending schedule of tours in the United States, Canada, South America, Europe, Australia, and Japan.
C’mon down front and expose yourself to Agent Orange.

AKASHA
Akasha: the best of reggae grooves and rich vocal harmonies. Stylistically, Akasha sounds like they stepped out of a 1972 session at Studio One. Their reggae is powerfully authentic but also is accessible to the contemporary ear. Akasha’s distinct approach is refreshing and earnest. They are courageously trailblazing a path for a new generation to receive the gifts of the Jamaican musical canon. The Akasha sound gives birth to an unmistakable variety of heavy, raw grooves reminiscent of The Skatalites, The Maytals, Desmond Dekker and The Wailers.

AL SCORCH
Grafting literate, character-driven song craft and Mid-American roots with a post-punk DIY attitude, Chicago-based songwriter, performer and instrumentalist Al Scorch charts a new musical topography with a five-string banjo.
AL’S PASTOR
Al pastor is a taco consisting of pork, cilantro, and pineapple. Al’s Pastor, on the other hand, is a rock band—one that took its name from the group’s dietary mainstay at Allende in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. Not easily stuffed into a single genre, the quartet blends vintage-y pop with adventurous, often dark forays into instrumental post-rock. Wailing guitar solos, nimble drum work, pretty piano melodies and propulsive bass are go-to ingredients in a quirky and diverse catalog.
Founded at DePaul University in 2006, Al’s Pastor started as Alex Lemon on guitar, Chris “Blue” Tomke on drums, and Chris Noth on bass. The group recorded its debut EP, The Conundrum, two years later as a mostly-instrumental trio. Singer Zeb Allen came onboard in the winter of 2009, bringing piano and songwriting chops with him. The band is currently putting the finishing touches on its sophomore release, Another Dusty Day, which was recorded and mixed at Buena Park’s I.V. Labs. “After more than a year of hard work, we are extremely excited to get these songs out there. It’s been a long time coming and this album really feels like a big step forward for the band,” says Noth. With the new album due out in April–the first full-length studio offering from the band–Al’s Pastor is excited for a big year of shows and is ready to please hungry fans in Chicago and beyond.
ALCEST
Music from another world.
Alcest was founded in the year 2000 by songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Neige (aka. Stéphane Paut) and later joined by drummer Winterhalter (Jean Deflandre) in 2009.
Labeled as post metal/shoegaze or “blackgaze”, Alcest were the pioneers within this genre, crafting a unique sound based on musical opposites from their very first EP “Le Secret” (2005), and thru their full length releases “Souvenirs D’Un Autre Monde” (2007), “Écailles De Lune” (2010) and “Les Voyages De L’Ame” (2012). In 2014 their fourth album “Shelter” was released, marking the band’s departure from the more metal sound, in favor of dream-pop aesthetics, surprising and somewhat challenging their fan base.
In retrospective, the album opened new doors for Alcest, bringing them an audience from different horizons and a positive sense of unpredictability as musicians.

ACROSS FIVE APRILS
Across Five Aprils’ name borrowed from the late Irene Hunt Novel based around the United States civil war, proves to have a style and showmanship of a not so civil nature. Beginning with the release of “A Tragedy in Progress” in May of 2003 on Indianola Records, Across Five Aprils hit the East Coast by storm to support their freshman full length release. After a few road bumps, member alterations and a lot of records sold of the now 2nd best selling Indianola Records release to date, Across Five Aprils has spent the last year and a half touring country in support of their second release on Indianola, an EP entitled “Living in the Moment”.
On July 11, 2006, Across Five Aprils released their second full-length album, entitled “Collapse”, also from Indianola Records. Picking up mainly where “A Tragedy In Progress” left off more than the “Living In The Moment” EP, Collapse is a hard-hitting album still full of the angst that has defined Across Five Aprils.
ACROSS STATE LINES
ACT OF DESTRUCTION
In 2007 the idea began to manifest physically. The two brothers instigated several public performances with a drum machine. Quickly drawing attention, Glenn Mendoza was discovered by way of the internet. Bringing Ed Ingram into the team, Mendoza allowed the group to engage in weekly Sonic Destruction of much larger audiences, including support on sold out performances at The Pearl Room, legendary for providing the greater Chicagoland area with an elite Metal experience.
At this point the band began to closer observe their reality. This allowed them to lead entire audiences to complete Aural Satisfaction at once, stated by some fans to be, “Bringing the glory back to Metal!”
Experiencing 200 live performances by early 2010, including multiple encounters with “Chicago’s Finest” for various noise complaints and power outages, ACT OF DESTRUCTION™ began working on their yet unreleased debut full length: ‘EXTINCTION’. Ed Ingram had left the band to pursue personal goals, making way for Keith Pedziewiatr to join for a brief period. Writing was completed and drums were tracked in Summer of 2010.
As work progressed, both Mendoza and Pedziewiatr left the band in search of personal aspirations. During that time, ACT OF DESTRUCTION™ signed an exclusive deal with the ‘Scariest Man in America’ Hart D. Fisher and the American Horrors network for use of a re-recorded demo track, “Die”, for theme song and promotional purposes.
Pushing forward to bring this Music to as many people as possible, John and Nigel Bravo completed the album. Early 2012 witnessed a handful of live performances featuring Will Lange, cousin to the Bravos, filling in on Drums, and Alex Baggio, now a permanent Guitarist.
In 2014, on recommendation from a Chicago metal veteran, Jason Caruana was contacted and quickly became a permanent member of the band. Final mixing and mastering of ‘Extinction’ was completed during the summer at Lo-Tech Laboratories. ‘Extinction’ was released publicly on February 6th 2015 in Chicago and is now available at every live performance!
