TSUNAMI BOMB is a dynamic and energetic punk rock band that originated just north of the San Francisco Bay Area in a town called Petaluma, California. Formed at the every end of the 1990s, the group quickly gained recognition for their distinctive blend of melodic punk, post-hardcore, and pop-punk influences. With driving guitar riffs, dynamic keyboards, powerful dual vocals, and thought-provoking lyrics, TSUNAMI BOMB has captivated audiences with their raw emotion and high-energy performances. Their music often explores themes of personal struggles, resilience, and social commentary, resonating with listeners on a deep level and inspiring a devout cult following for their anthemic singalongs and dark melodies.
TSUNAMI BOMB’s debut album, “The Ultimate Escape” on Kung Fu Records received critical acclaim, with Rolling Stone later naming it as one of their Top 50 Pop-Punk albums of all time. Despite line-up changes, TSUNAMI BOMB’s resilience has allowed them to release multiple albums through the years, including their most recent LP,
“The Spine That Binds” on Jello Biafra’s label, Alternative Tentacles Records. Their ability to infuse emotional depth into their impactful and unforgettable songs has long established their contribution to shaping the punk rock landscape.
With a longtime lineup consisting of founding bassist Dominic Davi, whose pulsating driving rhythms anchor the band’s music, founding keyboardist/vocalist Oobliette Sparks, whose haunting melodies and powerhouse vocals add depth and texture, founding drummer Gabe Lindeman, whose thunderous beats drive the band’s relentless energy, singer Kate Jacobi, whose emotive vocals lead the charge with passion and intensity, and guitarist Andrew Pohl, whose searing riffs and unforgettable dynamic tone elevate the band’s sonic landscape.

School of Rock in Glenbrook is proud to offer music classes to help teach our community and surrounding areas such as Northbrook, Deerfield, Glenview, Wheeling, Northfield, Riverwoods, Bannockburn, and Riverwoods how to play instruments with skill and confidence. We teach everything from keyboard to bass guitar, songwriting, and vocals for all levels. At School of Rock, students can perform live shows and develop their musical ability in a supportive and encouraging learning environment. Glenbrook offers a few great spots for students to take the skills they learned at School of Rock and go on to perform at local venues such as the iconic Landmark Inn, built in 1885, which has dining and live music.

GIULIA
Giulia is an independent singer-songwriter from the Bay Area who is currently based in Chicago. Their music has been heavily influenced by their background in multiple instruments and their exposure to rock and folk from a young age. Giulia’s songs are buoyed by emotive and captivating melodies and lyrics that often touch on subjects such as nostalgia, queerness, and love in its many forms. Her first album, “Still,” was self-produced and recorded in the attic of her parents’ home during the early months of the pandemic. The Pretty EP was released in May of 2022.

HANNAH FREY
Hannah Frey is a Chicago-based vocalist, songwriter, and instrumentalist who charms listeners with emotive lyricism, melodies that linger long after listening, and a voice noted for its “retro-smooth tonality (Little Village Magazine).”
Her sound is a melting pot of midwestern rural and urban influences. While some might call it folk, Americana, or indie pop, Hannah lovingly refers to the music she makes as rock music for sensitive people.
With the help of her dynamic band, Hannah’s intention is to make space for listeners to find joy, connection, and humor in the contrast of life’s seasons as she performs at venues in Chicago & beyond.

Hailing from Chicago’s south suburbs, Bre Morrissey’s music seamlessly blends candid, vulnerable lyrics with genre-defying production, offering a contemporary perspective within pop music. Her cinematic soundscapes create an expansive musical journey that consistently captivates, promising an ever-evolving, creatively charged pop experience.
In 2021, Bre released her anticipated debut album “While You’ve Been Gone,” chronicling her transformation from grief and loss after her brother’s passing to newfound resilience. This emotional evolution, intertwined with her exploration of romance and self-discovery, enriches her musical narrative.
Post-album release, Bre journeyed to Seoul, South Korea, collaborating with three South Korean producers for her ‘Pining (Reimagined)’ EP alongside Pink Nois. These collaborations resulted in three distinct tracks, each offering a unique rendition of ‘Pining,’ catering to diverse listener preferences.
Currently, Bre is deeply engaged in crafting her highly anticipated sophomore album, drawing from her diverse experiences for fresh sounds and evocative storytelling. Anticipate the unveiling of Bre’s latest musical chapter, poised to resonate profoundly with audiences in the upcoming months.

THE OBSESSED
The Obsessed is a rock band. A FUKKING HARD rock band. Since their formation in 1978, they have become known around the world for their influential contribution to the origins and continued legacy of the doom metal and underground hard rock genres. The distinctive vocals and guitar wizardry of founder and driving force Scott “Wino” Weinrich has left a mark on the world of heavy music that continues to inspire.
The Obsessed gained momentum in the Baltimore/DC area of the USA in the early to mid 1980’s during the height of the hardcore punk movement. Often cited as the band that bridged heavy metal and punk together, the band gained the respect of punk heavy weight contemporaries Black Flag, The Bad Brains, and Minor Threat, to name a few. The attitude and spirit of The Obsessed has led many to regard them as “America’s Motorhead”.
Wino went on to join the doom metal giants Saint Vitus as lead singer on seminal albums including 1986’s ‘Born Too Late’‘. In 1990, The Obsessed came back with their eponymous debut album, “The Obsessed”. This album was quickly followed by 1991’s “Lunar Womb” and 1994’s “The Church Within”. All three of these albums shaped and paved the way for future heavy rock bands and the doom scene as it’s known today. Wino’s gift for prose and his never-ending search for truth and meaning allows his words to hit as heavy as the riffs he plays.
Although The Obsessed went on a hiatus after The Church Within’s release on Columbia records, Wino’s sheer passion and prolific nature led him to pursue many other critically acclaimed projects such as Spirit Caravan, The Hidden Hand, Shrinebuilder and various acoustic releases. Long time fan Dave Grohl (Nirvana/Foo Fighters) specifically asked Wino to perform on Dave’s all-star Probot album, released in 2004. In 2012 Wino rejoined Saint Vitus until the world wide cry for The Obsessed could be denied no longer and in 2016, Wino reunited The Obsessed, once and for all, and has been kicking ass and taking names ever since.
Drummer Brian “Dawg” Costantino joined the band at this time. The band signed to Relapse Records and recorded 2017’s “Sacred”, an album showing The Obsessed back with pure vengeance. Sacred brought the band to venues and festival stages around the world.
In 2022 the band became a four piece with the addition of Chris Angleberger on bass and Jason Taylor on guitar. The band has been touring heavily since and have been seen on USA and European festival stages such as HellFest, Freak Valley Festival, Snowblind Festival and Desert Fest.
The band’s forthcoming album, Gilded Sorrow, set to be released early 2024 on Ripple Music, marks a new chapter in their legacy. The album promises to capture the essence of the band’s classic sound while adding a fresh new atmosphere with a dual guitar attack.
The Obsessed are here to stay.

James Landino is an internationally recognized video game/anime composer and DJ based out of Los Angeles, California. His influence of electronic music bridges the gap of gaming, anime, and nightclub culture together, amassing millions of plays across multiple platforms.
His progressive sound during the past decade has garnered him countless projects, working with entities such as SEGA, SQUARE ENIX and ROOSTER TEETH. His major audio contributions include: ROBLOX, PUBG MOBILE, TOWER OF GOD, CHUNITHM, OSU!, RWBY, CYTUS II, AMPLITUDE HD, and KINGDOM HEARTS 2.5 HD ReMIX.

Caleb Hyles first made waves when he released his cover of “Let It Go” on YouTube in 2014. Millions of homes around the world were enchanted by his riveting and theatrical covers of Disney, Broadway, Anime, and pop-rock hits. YouTube allowed for Caleb’s vast talents and warm, infectious personality to shine through with every cover, and fans quickly fell in love.
Over the years of pouring himself into his work and creating exciting, diverse content for his fans, Caleb has amassed a close-knit fanbase consisting of 1.5 million YouTube subscribers and over 1 million monthly Spotify listeners. Fans eagerly seek out Caleb’s larger-than-life voice taking on their favorite songs and breathing new life in them.

THE KINKS “SOMETHING ELSE”
Something Else by the Kinks, often referred to simply as Something Else, is the fifth studio album by the Kinks, released on 15 September 1967 by Pye Records. The album continued the Kinks’ trend toward an eccentric baroque pop and music hall-influenced style defined by Ray Davies’ observational and introspective lyrics. It also marks the final involvement of American producer Shel Talmy in the Kinks’ 1960s studio recordings; henceforth Ray Davies would produce the group’s recordings. Many of the songs feature the keyboard work of Nicky Hopkins and the backing vocals of Davies’s wife, Rasa. The album was preceded by the singles “Waterloo Sunset”, one of the group’s most acclaimed songs, and the Dave Davies solo record “Death of a Clown”, both of which charted in the UK top 3.

Alysha Monique began performing from a very young age in her hometown’s church youth choir. That was the beginning of her passion for music. She joined her school band in 5th grade playing clarinet and that became her newfound love. She learned jazz and played tenor and baritone saxophone in bands through the years. Alysha began to broaden her musical palette. She successfully joined her high school’s Chamber Choir and began to transition from just an instrumentalist to a vocalist as well.
Alysha started performing professionally in her last years of high school and developed some skills before attending Elmhurst College. While attending Elmhurst, she gained superb education and notoriety working with legends and professionals in the music industry.
She’s received favorable recognition for her solo & group work from elders including the New York Voices, Dianne Reeves, Dee Alexander, Sean Jones and Marquis Hill. Throughout her education, Alysha received mentorship from Jennifer Mather, Gayle Bisesi, Frank Portolese, Frank Caruso and many others.
Post college, she became heavily involved in the Greater Chicagoland Area Music Scene. Performing all over the city and beyond. This opened her world to performance halls as vibrant as the Lyric Opera, to the high-energy nightclubs and bars, to the hidden gems of the city and even for weddings, funerals, and personal engagement parties. She quickly became a highly integrated artist within the city and began to travel to other cities like Detroit, Atlanta, Denver, and more.
Alysha has experience performing as a multi-instrumentalist in a multitude of eclectic ensembles playing a variety of genres such as: Classical, Jazz, Soul, R&B, Reggae, Funk, Pop and more. Alysha is proficient on clarinet, piano, ukulele, guitar and all styles of voice. With several years of music teaching, she loves teaching all levels of musicians from beginner to advanced.
