Tuned down and turnt up, Seattle’s He Whose Ox Is Gored has been tearing up the underground with their unique synthesis of doom, progressive elements and shoegaze since 2009. After a few years and different rhythm lineups, founding members Brian McClelland (Guitar, Vocals) and Lisa Mungo (Synths, Keyboards, Vocals) have solidified the rhythm section with Mike Sparks (Bass) and John O’Connell (Drums) and have been locked in for several years now. Coming off their highly acclaimed ‘Rumors’ 7” released last fall on Bleeding Light Records, He Whose Ox Is Gored will be releasing even more material in 2015. Plans for a 7” through Fainting Room Collective and the band’s highly anticipated full length debut ‘The Camel, The Lion, The Child’ through Bleeding Light Records along with a fall tour are already planned. Production for the album took place in Seattle at Red Room and Ex Ex Audio and was recorded by Robert Cheek (Serial Hawk, Noise-A-Tron) with some additional recording taking place at Avast Studios
with Randall Dunn (Sunn0))), Earth). Matt Bayles (Isis, Mastodon) handled mixing duties and frequent collaborator Blake Blickel mastered the album at Dynamic Sound Service. ‘The Camel, The Lion, The Child’ will be released digitally and on limited edition vinyl (500 Double LP, Gatefold) by Bleeding Light Records and Breathe Plastic Records (Netherlands) will be releasing a limited edition tape version of the album.
