Fused from the talents of five local Chicago musicians, The Right Reasons are a powerful blend of rock and soul that echo the sounds of yesteryear, while still remaining urgently relevant to modern times. The band in it’s current state grew out of the writing talents at ESU Records and includes members from many different reaches of the Chicago music scene. Led by the powerful vocal abilities of T Charles, the band can at one moment be in the midst of a soulful ballad reminiscent of Sam Cooke, and the next explode into an all-out rock fury on songs such as “Bad Loving Woman” and “Mother’s Love”. “It’s all about the songs” according to bassist Mike Morrison, an experienced bluesman who’s privileged career has had him cross paths with some of the most well-known figures in the history of rock and roll. To see the band live is to participate in an event that will display a variety of different influences, while still showcasing that unique sound that only The Right Reasons can deliver.

Waylon Speed, created by Noah Crowther, Chad Hammaker, Kelly Ravin and Justin Crowther, formed after meeting at a local honky-tonk in Burlington, Vermont. Three days and one practice later, Waylon Speed was born. By instilling each band members individual musical influence, they have created a genre all of it’s own. Named after the Reverend Chitwood Hammaker’s son, Waylon, the band is a family owned and operated organization. Waylon Speed is currently touring in support of their album ‘Valance’ released in 2012. They tour nationally year-round and have offered support for many large-name outfits including Jane’s Addiction, My Morning Jacket and Junior Brown. Waylon Speed is not influenced by mainstream music. They write, release and distribute their music independently.

Pale Horse is the creation of California native, Edward Stephen Crummer. Only a recent resident of Arkansas, Crummer has spent the lion’s share of the past four years traveling from Minnesota to Ohio, and Illinois back to Wisconsin playing small venues, bars, basements and street corners in pursuit of music. During those years, only a few bands were ever formed and all were short lived. Having been discouraged by this, Crummer began to work as a solo artist and went on a two year hiatus where he focused solely on songwriting and crafting them into something far more unique and meaningful than they had previously been.

In April 2013, his self titled EP was released and received local radio play as well as a guest spot on “Box of Chocolates”, a Wisconsin Public Television broadcast. In the fall of 2013, Pale Horse was formed with fellow band mates in order to take the “songwriter” sound of Crummer’s work and create a full band out of it. The roster quickly grew from one man, into the full four man line up that it currently is.

With inspiration stemming from outlaw country to folk and blues, Pale Horse has created a unique sound all their own and still managed to pay homage to classic American music, the way it is most fondly remembered.
