Performing Red Light: Released in 1997, Red Light was the first album that the Slackers released on Hellcat records. It was also the first album that the band toured the entire United States and Europe behind. The album featured a moody introspective take on Ska & Reggae in contrast to pretty much all the other ‘Ska’ bands of the time. A lot of tunes off this album like “Watch This”, “Married Girl”, “I Still Love You”, and “Soldier” are considered to be classics by the band. In honor of its 20th anniversary, the band has released a collectors edition 180 gram vinyl version of Red Light on Pirate’s Press Records.
