East Coast Rockers American Speedway establishes a nasty disposition while cutting teeth on their own brash hard rock punk metal.
Since the fearsome four formed in 2007, American Speedway released their debut album SHIP OF FOOLS with the hit single “One Foot In, One Foot Out” which charted within the Top 5 on Sirius Radio Punk Charts for 5 months straight. Their debut full-length was released on Prophase Music in 2008, distributed by MVD Entertainment Group.
For the week of Nov. 11, 2008, the title track was added to several commercial and college radio stations making “Ship of Fools” #5 Most Added according to FMQB. “Ship of Fools” charted at #36 on CMJ’s Hard Rock Select Chart the following week.
In Fall 2010, the first single “Howl (Ya Doin?)” from their up coming new album, A BIGGER BOAT, was released on 7″ Vinyl along with a live rendition of “20th Century Boy” (Marc Bolan & T-Rex).
The release of A BIGGER BOAT on April 26, 2011 brought the band additional success with singles “Lonely River”, “Get Off The Cross” and “I Killed Laura Palmer” added to regular rotation on many commercial and college specialty Metal Radio Shows throughout the Nation.
They have toured with Tesco Vee and The Meatmen, The Supersuckers, and direct support with The Bronx, Valient Thorr, The Supersuckers, Mike Watt, Joe Buck and The Goddamn Gallows to name a few. They have established a fan base of thousands, won over several booking agents, promoters and venues, and is regarded as one of the best live “real” rock & roll bands in America. Their performance is really where it’s at.
