The Rolling Clones were born on the corner of Armitage and Halsted at
Nick’s in the early 1990’s. A well-known financial analyst used to frequent
Nick’s on Friday afternoons after battling the financial markets all
week. This analyst would come into Nick’s looking for a few pints, a few
laughs, and lots of Rolling Stones songs on the jukebox.
This was the genesis of the The Rolling Clones, an eight piece ensemble
of musicians and friends who all love the music of the Stones. They have
played such venues as Martyrs’, the Subterranean, Tommy Nevins, Club
Lucky, Around the Coyote, Piece Brewery and Sylvie’s Lounge, among
others. Always a hit with high energy rock, everyone is singing along and
dancing – from ages 5 – 95. With a very deep set list and first rate
musicians, The Rolling Clones can guarantee something for every Stones
fan.
