GURG is a group of three musicians from the South Side of Chicago, IL that create an atmospheric fusion of funk, jam, reggae, rock, jazz, dub, and electronica, weaving together dual keyboard/synth-bass work, powerful, complex, and driving beats, and a range of organic and effect-saturated guitar sounds.

The experimental sound of the four-piece powerhouse known as SPREAD has no boundaries. Formed at SIU Carbondale in 2008, the band has been creating energy-filled musical experiences ever since. SPREAD has made many appearances throughout the region, including festivals such as Summer Camp. Combining originally composed material with a mass of spontaneous improvisation, SPREAD hopes to deliver a unique and interactive engagement with its audience.

Based in the Chicago area, the band has played across the Midwest at numerous festivals and venues from Ohio to Iowa and everywhere between. Thinner Teed has been a part of Summer Camp Music Festival, Wakarusa, and many other events over the past years and performed at venues like Double Door & Hard Rock Cafe.
January of 2013 brought a change for the band. Two of the original members had decided to pursue other life ventures and a new drummer was brought in; helping to solidify an already evolving sound and group dynamic. The new line-up is electrifying; the energy on stage, passion for writing, and music are second to none.
