Environmental Encroachment’s TRIUMPHANT RETURN FROM FRANCE

A Video Release Party at Reggie’s Music Joint, Sat. 11/15/17, 8:00 PM

Chicago, IL, October 24, 2017– Chicago’s original street brass band Environmental Encroachment—or

“EE”—has returned from their 2 week tour of France and invitation to the XI Concours International de la Fanfare, a brass band competition held in different cities in France. EE won and be showing off the trophy for the “The Prix du Public”, a coveted, and juried prize awarded by the popular vote.

EE’s “Tour d’EE France” provided a great opportunity to meet our French brass cousins and discover the “Fanfare” brass music scene that has been developing in parallel yet independently from the US’s HONK festival of Brass Bands. As well as the festival in Marseille, EE performed in Lyon, Octon and Paris, where EE shot professional video footage.

The results of that video shoot, including a premiere music video, will be presented at Reggie’s Music Joint, 2105 S. State St., on the evening of November 15, 2017, along with a full performance by EE. Doors at 8:00, performance starts at 9:00. Projections by Eric G.

Chicago-based performance art group Environmental Encroachment (EE) uses circus theatrics, live music and costumes to create unique entertainment environments, parades, processions, shows, punk artist marching band encroachments and art happenings.
EE combines a costumed marching band with multi-media stage performance antics, including dancers, hooping, juggling and skits. EE encourages people to interact, be a part, be curious, dance, play.
