Alloy Music Series - Reggies Chicago

Episode 3 of the Alloy Music Series will take place February 20, 2013. Listeners will be fortunate to catch the uncategorizable music and heavy virtuosic guitar shredding of Luke Polipnick as he swings through town on a Midwest tour. Brilliant singer and songwriter Sarah Marie Young will follow with her award-winning voice and her baritone ukulele as she headlines a band of some of Chicago’s best young improvisers. Winner of the 2011 Shure Montreux Jazz Voice competition and a semi-finalist at the 2010 Thelonius Monk International Jazz Voice competition, Sarah’s one of Chicago fastest rising stars. As a musician and singer-songwriter Sarah has made a name for herself in groups all over Chicago in jazz, R&B, funk, gospel, pop, and Brazilian music. Sarah’s band comprises some of Chicago’s premiere talents in Stu Mindeman, Patrick Mulcahy, and Makay McCraven.
