It was born in a basement in the ghetto in June 2013. Phil Wright (guitar) and Will Crandall (drums) formed the vision and musical framework for what would ultimately become Devolve. Songs began to flow. The groundwork was laid. In early 2014, Jason Graciana (bass) was added to the mix. In the spring of 2014, Joey Columbine (vocal) came in with a fury, and Devolve was fully alive. All four of them come from different backgrounds. Different struggles. Different triumphs. But once they came together, it was apparent: their passion for music made them one. Staying true to their vision, Devolve’s music is hard to place into a specific metal genre.
