According to an interview with Joel Grind (Toxic Holocaust), Tiger Junkies began as a tradition between himself and Yasuyuki Suzuki (Abigail) in which the two would get together and record something any time Joel was in Japan, usually with a mix of metal and hardcore punk styled songs.
