SOUTHSIDE OCCUPATIONAL ACADEMY POLAR PLUNGE
Southside Occupational Academy is proud to support Special Olympics Illinois through participation in the Special Olympics Illinois Polar Plunge, a major public fundraising event that supports year-round Special Olympics programming.
All Southside students participate in Special Olympics events throughout the year, including alpine skiing, snowshoeing, basketball, volleyball, soccer, flag football, and more. Funding from events like the Polar Plunge helps cover uniforms, equipment, transportation, and competition fees—ensuring these opportunities remain available at no cost to families.
