Poster Girl is an Alternative Rock band formed in 2023 in Chicago, IL by lead singer and songwriter: Makayla Meister.
Poster Girl is a 5-piece band made up of members: Lead singer & guitarist Makayla Meister, Dominic Guzaldo on lead guitar, bassist Kevin Ward, Garrett Jones on keys and drummer Matt Baker.
Makayla’s songwriting style is evocative of 90’s alternative, her vocal and songwriting style has been compared to 90’s artists like: Garbage, Mazzy Star, and Meredith Brooks. Her vocals have a range that can reach from light and airy to a powerful belt creating a beautiful variety that captivates audiences.
The music has a nostalgic distortion in every song layered underneath melodic vocals, with interlacing upbeat riffs and catchy hooks
