That’s what you get when you pick three like-minded individuals, lock them up in a smokey room and stuff them with vodka.
The love for drums and guitars keeps’em together, as they push their catchy rock tunes into the depths of Prog and Stoner.
Hear them obsessing over a single chord until it feels just right. Unlike the world we live in, that’s All Shades of Wrong.
The Back Alley is a five-piece Chicago-based hybrid of Ax and the Hatchetmen’s guitarist Sal Defilippis and bassist Hunter Olshefke who joined frontman Ralph Porter, Jaden Cone (Guitar/Vocals), and Ben Peppler (Drums/Percussion) to perform and record original music from Ralph Porter’s discography while working on finding their own sound with new originals from the band. Although the group’s sound falls into the indie/alternative rock genre, their recordings, especially their live shows integrate elements of jazz and funk as many of the members have studied and played these genres in the past.
Given the young age of the band (Ralph Porter 20, Sal Defilippis 20, Jaden Cone 21, Ben Peppler 20, and Hunter Olshefke 20), they are consistently working on writing new material and playing venues around the Chicagoland area. You can keep up with the band’s upcoming shows and new music through Spotify and social media accounts.

Born and raised a Chigago native, Eyedekay is one of the most dynamic artist of today. Her name is a double entendre representing her initials, and her ability to create music across a wide spectrum of genres. A walking Jukeboxx, with this sultry songstress no two tracks sound alike. Never categorize her or box her in because she is full of surprises. She’s an all around trail blazer with roots in Pop, R&B, Funk, Soul, Blues, and Rock music. With a self proclaimed “natural ear for harmony” not only does she write and perform, but she produces as well. She’s performed live for the past 10 years and she’s ready to break though! Hear her voice!

Hidden deep along the river bends of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, you’ll find Motherwind. Forming in August of 2020, the quartet—Anthony Frey (vocals, guitar), Nate Rogers (lead guitar), Michael Hargens (bass), Jackson Kleingartner (drums)—has already taken lengthy strides in revealing their primal artistry to the masses, despite their formation amid the coronavirus pandemic. The group originally began writing songs under the name “The Color Scene” at a horse sanctuary owned by a mutual friend. Since then, the band has branded themselves under the new name with an electrifying live show in their arsenal. The young group’s 70s-bred roots and alt-groove sound has left the floors of rock clubs and bars tremoring, and the concoction of psychedelic riffs and hair-raising chord progressions leaves their audiences stirred. Motherwind has shared the stage with the likes of Crobot, The Black Moods, Royal Bliss and P.O.D., and the band is consistently invited back to venues. With a heavy tour schedule during the summer of 2021, the young group has already shown efficacy in creating a blazing reputation within the up-and-coming rock scene. Current focuses of the band include constructing their own recording studio above a weight training facility, releasing their breakthrough EP, maintaining a consistent touring schedule and of course finding new and exciting ways to bring people together with their tasty brand of alt-rock.
Just like a satellite hurtling towards earth, Lovely World takes the pulse of our culture and mirrors it back to society. Unrequited love, drug addiction, social afflictions and fearful political etiquette are some of the themes this rock hard four piece puts into orbit. Just as you try and label them strictly a hard rock band, a new wave of beautiful harmonies and romantic notions will lay you down with crying guitar leads, solid bottom end and passionate vocals.
Hailing from Spartanburg, South Carolina, brothers Landon Rojas (lead vocals and guitar) and Cade Rojas (drums) formed Lovely World in 2015 with influences all across the spectrum.
Joined by bassist Michael Gilbert and guitarist Daniel Williams, the lineup was complete. Recording new music in 2021, and touring in 2022, the excitement is just beginning.

Whether it be acting or comedy, Lyssa Laird is no stranger to the stage. Her acting career started at the tender age of 6 with the Chicago Theater Company. After a decade of performing in numerous stage plays and a brief stint in the Air Force, she decided to pursue another passion of hers, stand-up comedy. Her hard-hitting brand of comedy is impossible to ignore, making her a comedic force to be reckoned with. As a young mother, Lyssa is able to connect with many audience members through shared experiences and a unique sense of humor. Performing at clubs all over the city, she has achieved a lot in her short comedy career and only plans to do bigger and better things. Keep an eye out because this is one comedienne who you will definitely be seeing more of.

HAMMERHEDD is a band from Kansas City. The three Ismert brothers who make up Hammerhedd have a natural gift and a greater calling. Perhaps the definition of les enfants terribles and drawing comparisons to contemporaries like Gojira, Meshuggah, and Mastodon, Hammerhedd blend genres into a perfect sludge of chugging, grinding, beating, and thrashingly heavy marches favoring driving rhythms with a tinge of melodic mischief. Their sound is the kind of organic, made-to-mosh barn burning bombast that gets the walking dead banging their heads.
Brandishing a unique blend of furious thrash and death metal like a weapon of mass destruction, I AM is purely no-nonsense in their patented “Texas Death” assault. Armed with riffs, speed, and overwhelming power, “I AM writes songs that make you want to move” (Decibel Magazine). Across three full-length slabs of bludgeoning intensity and snarling rage, I AM put a Southern stamp and revitalized swagger into deathcore, a subgenre rarely as raw, energized, and diverse as this band. In the spirit of fellow Southern icons Pantera and newer Texan heroes Power Trip, I AM channels discontent and anger into empowering anthems, as likely to inspire a grueling workout as to incite the pit. Reminiscent of the combination of death metal heaviness and thrash metal speed found in the early catalog of Sepultura, I AM mines the heaviness of Morbid Angel and the dexterity of the Big 4 to create something groundbreaking of their own. Vocalist Andrew Hileman — who started the band in 2011– guitarists Tom Reyes and Chris Burgess, bassist Erik Rodriguez, and drummer Brandon Busa deliver their Texas Death in clubs, theaters, and festivals, with bands like The Acacia Strain and Kublai Khan.
SWMRS is the sound of brothers staying afloat, having fun, and learning to move with the currents. The Bay Area punk band is centered around the songwriting of brothers Max and Cole Becker, who have fronted the band through many evolutions since forming the group as Emily’s Army in 2004. As SWMRS they’ve released two albums, including 2016’s Drive Northand 2019’s Berkeley’s on Fire, and honed their stagecraft opening for Muse, Blink-182, Cage the Elephant, and Fidlar. After a series of challenges over the past few years, including Max nearly dying in a car accident, the punk rock band has focused on writing new music and returning to the road. Their new single “Dye Your Hair,” recorded in Oakland harkens back to the sonic excitement of their first album and hints at what’s to come from the musicians.Wherever the next wave takes them, SWMRS will be ready with guitars in their hands and songs in their hearts.

Forged during the Covid pandemic, New Orleans death grind/hardcore group BRAT have come in swinging with blast beats, bass-laden breakdowns, and riffs inspired by OSDM and NYHC.
Through the melding of genres, the foursome stand out from the sludge that the Crescent City is known for. BRAT also brings a yassified look to the scene, shirking traditional metal imagery for femme pop icons and pink-pilled Y2K aesthetic.
BRAT are making strides in the underground music world with powerful force, putting Barbiegrind Bimboviolence on the map.

Flying Raccoon Suit is a ska/punk band from Mississippi.
“You can probably safely call it a “ska-punk” album, but outside of one or two songs, Afterglow doesn’t sound like ’90s ska-punk. Throughout the album, they experiment with lumbering metal riffs, throat-shredding hardcore, DIY indie rock, surf rock, explorative jazz, upbeat Klezmer, and more, and Flying Raccoon Suit have a firm grip on all of these styles of music. It never sounds like they’re biting off more than they can chew, and it comes together a lot more seamlessly than you might expect. You can hear all of these different sounds when you dissect it, but when you just sit back and listen, it’s just an enjoyable rock record with big hooks and a ton of energy. If you don’t think you like ska, Afterglow probably has a song or two that will prove you wrong.” – Brooklyn Vegan

Growing up in Chicago’s Humboldt Park, Manny Acosta found that being funny came natural to him. Not only was he the class clown, taking it even further as he got older, Manny became a professional clown alongside his father.
Now, the proudly unique Dominican and Puerto Rican young man is making people laugh in a different way, on a stage sharing his sarcastic wit, edgy observations and unique views on anything and everything his hyperactive brain can think of! His energy and charm win over crowds as he explains his story of never fitting in because he always knew he was born to stand out.
In his first few years as a stand-up comedian, Manny has been fortunate to enough to have learned from and performed with incredible veteran comics such as: Vince Acevedo, Joey Villagomez, Calvin Evans, Kevin Farley, Alex Ortiz, Josh Blue, Damon Williams and more!
Recently Manny has started performing and bringing laughs to many different venues all over the country. He’s performed in schools and comedy clubs like Northeastern Illinois University, the famous Chicago Laugh Factory, Riddles Comedy Club in Alsip, IL, and the LA Comedy Club in Las Vegas as he hopes to bring his interesting brand of comedy to the world.

Hi ! My names Josephine and I’m a musician from Chicago, originally St. Paul Minnesota, but for the past 5 years I’ve been establishing myself and music in the wonderful Windy City. I’ve put out a few songs under Joz which was a past version of my music. Going by my full name “Josephine” has felt much more fitting to the new music I’ve been creating. I’d say the style of my sound is indie revival/alternative rock in space.
Emo Shoegaze from Minneapolis, MN 🙂 12th House Sun started as Kyle Schultz’s solo project in 2019. He recorded and released his debut EP “12th House Sun” in 2020, followed by a second EP titled “444” in 2021. The music pairs ambience with emo chord progressions, while the lyrics dive into themes of self reflection, heartbreak, and loss. After the isolation of the covid-19 pandemic, 12th House Sun sought to bring these songs to a live setting. Members Nick Luke (drums), Alice Grooms (bass), and Logan Stromberg (guitar) joined the band in 2022. The group has gained more exposure by playing shows around the Twin Cities, and have plans to release their first album in 2023.
Painting With The Sun is our debut EP; this record is the first collection of songs we’ve ever put out as an outfit. These tracks were written between Summer 2021 into the end of winter 2022 when they were promptly recorded late at night at the historic Powerstation in NYC. Busied by life and the writing of new shit, we truly took our time with this record. It was a learning process in its entirety. One of our closest friends and collaborators Andy Hallock tirelessly produced, mixed and mastered this project through the power of patience and wizardry, and let it be known, from Boston via remote session software. No amount of words can accurately describe the making of this album, but we believe a singular onomatopoeia can: !
