Enema of the State is the third studio album by American rock band Blink-182, released on June 1, 1999, by MCA Records. After a long series of performances at various clubs and festivals and several indie recordings throughout the 1990s, Blink-182 first achieved popularity on the Warped Tour and in Australia following the release of their second album Dude Ranch (1997) and its rock radio hit “Dammit”. To record their third album, Blink-182 turned to veteran punk rock producer Jerry Finn, who previously worked on Green Day’s breakthrough album Dookie (1994). Enema was the band’s first album to feature second drummer Travis Barker, who replaced original drummer Scott Raynor.

Janice Rodriguez (first name rhymes with Denise because she likes to be difficult), is a Chicago-based entrepreneur and comedian. When she’s not slaving over an unnecessary spreadsheet or micromanaging others, she performs her unique brand of stand up across the Chicagoland area. Janice uses her experience as being the whitest Latina she knows and an at best average marriage partner to tell her side of the story. Janice aims to bring a fresh perspective to topics related to her culture, Indiana upbringing (Indiana+culture=oxymoron), and her professional and personal lives. She’s also really tired.
Janice regularly performs at Chicago area comedy and storytelling showcases and has performed at comedy clubs Zanies, Improv, The Drop (South Bend), Laugh Factory, Comedy Vault, Comedy Bar Dubuque, LOL Comedy Club (San Antonio) Comedy Shrine, The Market Lounge, and Jackie Knights (St. Augustine, FL). Ethan Lee McCarthy will perform at Roadburn 2022 under the moniker of Spiritual Poison; a new creative outlet that has morphed out of what was Many Blessings. Having identified a creative stream that was somewhat distinctive from the discordant harsh noise of Many Blessings, and that didn’t flow into his work with Primitive Man, McCarthy christened it Spiritual Poison.
The DIY ethic remains, as does the bleak soundscapes that seem wired into his DNA, only this time they’re more focussed. With themes that explore the dichotomy between city living and mankind’s relationship with nature, overlaid with the juxtaposition of the digital and spiritual worlds, Spiritual Poison has a lot of ground to cover. Although the output is shrouded in a hazy otherworldliness, McCarthy doesn’t shy away from channeling his experiences of being a person of colour living in modern day America, the violence, and the end-times narratives that permeate daily life.
As well as performing his own solo Spiritual Poison set, McCarthy will also join Full of Hell for a special performance of their Garden of Burning Apparitions album. Both shows will highlight the maturing sound of an experimental artist eager to explore the outer reaches of his artistry.

From modest, humble beginnings, ARREIS knew somewhere deep down that her circumstances were stifling. Upon moving to Nashville, she was ready to finally evolve into the persona she had always dreamed of. With role models such as Lady Gaga, ARREIS knows how to both create an excellent concept record and dazzle audiences at a live show.
The concept of “synesthesia” was introduced to ARREIS in college when she was writing her first record Blindside. When asked to describe the album, she would always use color-based terms, and overwhelminly, Blindside was associated with various shades of purple. From soft, nostalgic lavender to the bruises of violet, Blindside demonstrates the idea that being vulnerable and opening up to people are some of the hardest acts to accomplish.
In her next record Vices, ARREIS takes on the human condition and dives deeply into the issue that everyone has dealt with at some point in their lives – the fact that everyone has a little darkness. From fiery, bright reds to muted, sullen maroons, the red era is ready to make a dramatic mark on the world of pop music.
MATTHEW SKOLLER is one of Chicago’s most respected harmonica players and Blues bandleaders. For the past 36 years he has played all of Chicago’s heaviest showcase venues and toured much of the world with his super tight ensembles. Deeply rooted in the tradition of the Chicago blues elders with whom he worked and studied, Skoller has developed a unique style that conjures the past while being firmly planted in the present. His songs explore many of the issues and realities of life during this age of technology, information and horrific upheaval. Skoller, known for his fiery and engaging performances, combines passionate harp playing and singing with original song writing and prodigious production skills.
Speedealer originally formed in 1994 in Lubbock, TX, under the name REO Speedealer. When REO Speedwagon served the band a cease-and-desist order on their moniker, they shortened their name to Speedealer. In 1998, the band released their debut, self-titled album on Royalty Records. The following year, the hard rocking foursome — made up of singer/guitarist Jeff Hirshberg, bassist Rodney Skelton, drummer Harden Harrison, and guitarist Eric Schmidt — released their follow-up record, Here Comes Death, on the same label. Royalty Records went bankrupt soon after the band’s second release, leaving Speedealer to their own devices for exposure. Label-less and musically driven, they played 309 shows in 1999 to stay in the public eye, pairing up with such like-minded, aggressive rockers as Zeke, Fu Manchu, Neurosis, and GWAR. Speedealer’s efforts finally paid off when Palm Records A&R man Michael Alago (who signed Metallica to Elektra and White Zombie to Geffen) contracted the band to his label. Palm Records re-released Here Comes Death in 2000, and Second Sight in 2002.
Mayyadda is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer from Minneapolis who aspires to use her music to make people slow down, find themselves in another perspective, and feel their way towards individual and collective healing. With an eclectic mix of neo-soul vocals, folksy guitar, pop-style piano with trap beats sprinkled in for flavor, she likes to refer to her genre as, “BlackGirlMagic.” She has been active as a recording artist since 2015, releasing four projects since then: most recently, TRY&REMEMBER, a sonic journey thru the risks one takes on their way to healing, which she released in October 2021.
Chicago singer, self-produced, and multi-instrumentalist Gayun Cannon is known for creating a process of healing within each song whether it is about love or her own journeys through life. Her main goal is for her listeners to tap into their emotions. Incorporating her own infectious melodies with influences from both of her Chinese and Black backgrounds, she has created a sound unlike any before: Soul music with Chinese instrumentation. Only just starting to drop music in 2021, Gayun’s first and most known project was published in late 2021 called “Brown Sugar Baby” giving her listeners a sense of what it is like to heal as a Black woman.
Mila La Morena is a fusion of r&b, Latin, and alternative. She incorporates all the genres she grew up with to tell her story of being Latine in the US, with heartbreak, and queerness. They have been performing in Chicago since 2018 and songwriting since the age of 5.
The Skies Are Shifting is a post-hardcore band centered in the Chicago area that blends styles across the genre with elements of math rock and progressive post hardcore. The band name signifies the ever changing nature of the world and those in it due to the passage of time, for better or worse. This is also reflected in the various songwriting styles as each song pulls the listener through a shifting, multi-layered soundscape of sonic palletes like lush cleans and blistering distortions, that will be sure to thrill any lover of the genre.
3 Brothers who started creating music at an early age in Cicero IL just a couple minutes from Chicago. Dad always listened to the classics, in english and spanish. From Def Leppard and Motley Crue, to Soda Stereo and Heroes del Silencio. We grew up on those jams and eventually got into creating our own originals. People always seem to be suprised whenever they hear us live, with their jaws on the floor 😉 With embedded classic rock roots, MACHIN is sure to leave you bobbing your head to the sound of ROCK!
Tim Larson’s stark, often blunt lyrics and weathered baritone shares similarities to Michael Gira (Swans, Angels of Light) and Mark Lanegan, there are also generous shades of hazy shoegaze guitar and moody gothic overtones wedded to song structures that are pure American folk/blues at heart. It’s no surprise that Larson’s varied influences connect the dots between Son House and Bauhaus.
C.O.M.A. Club from Minneapolis are Christy Costello (Monica LaPlante, Pink Mink, Butchers Union, Von Bondies), Orion Treon (Extraterrestrials, Monica LaPlante), Monica LaPlante (Extraterrestrials, Christy Costello) and Austin Cecil (Extraterrestrials, Monica LaPlante, Christy Costello). MITCHELL POTTS
I might have been born just plain white trash but Fancy was my name.
We are a four piece from Northwest Indiana writing Americana, indie/folk songs. Self-reflective and a little self-deprecating at times, we sing about nice weather and the human condition. Each member brings a little something different from toe-tapping melodies to classical cello, airy guitar sweets to driving banjo picking. It’s the peoples’ romp and roll!
It’s been ‘All Gas No Brakes’ for SONNY since sharing his 9-track mixtape in February. Marked by co-signs from Chicago creative forces like Andrew Barber, LONEWOLF and Lyrical Lemonade among others, the “KILL BILL” artist’s sets are as lively and enigmatic as his music. Opening for renowned artists such as Dro Kenji, Midwxst and more, SONNY’s creative style thrives by staying “RISKY” — referencing his ‘AGNB’ hit with LONEWOLF’ — above all. A true descendant of Chicago’s drill roots, SONNY is at his best when in front of his home crowd.

“Horrible are the Chicago answer to the nostalgic raucous bliss of the 80’s Indie Rock circuit. Hard rocking, melodic and undeniably chaotically beautiful, what’s not to love about that? If Frank Black and Richard Hell had an amphetamine love child it would sound something not too distant to this.” -Dan Stothard, Musically Fresh
“Well I’m glad you like playing your music, honey, but I think I just want to listen to Adele instead” -Pat’s mom
You’ve probably heard “guitar music is dying” or something like that a dozen times over the past 20 years, but please, keep your voice down and don’t tell 96 Cougar. The Chicago-based four piece’s only rule is “it has to rock,” and that’s what they’ve been doing since 2019. New Noise Magazine describes them as having “a touch of The Replacements and Hüsker Dü with their nostalgia-tinged, ‘80s-style pop punk with gorgeous melodies,” two comparisons they’ll gladly take and parlay into an SST Records deal, provided they can find a time machine and 1986-appropriate outfits. The band has a full length record titled The Finest Crime slated for release in mid-2023.
This authentic representation of the Smashing Pumpkins is both a must see and hear performance featuring a Grammy Nominated lead guitarist. All members are professional seasoned musicians with the amazing ability to portray themselves as Smashing Pumpkin members Billy Corgan, James Iha, Jimmy Chamberlin and D’arcy Wretzky.
Most recent venues include the world famous Scout Bar and House of Blues ~ Houston where expectations were surpassed with the professionalism and outstanding performance of these four talented musicians.
Chicago’s premiere tribute to the music of Interpol Evil brings the music of Interpol to life in a dynamic performance that evokes the early days of the New York indie-rock legends.

Intially started as a one-off performance, Evil quickly solidified into a crowd favorite. The adrenaline-driven act is sonically faithful to the source material and covers the early classics as well as newer hits.

Songwriter and guitarist Joey Acopiado is a student of the wide scope of contemporary music. From Rock to R&B, Acopiado covers it all, handcrafting each song with a clear respect and admiration for his musical heroes. However, this drive to nod his head to the golden-ages-gone-by of many genres has never impeded Acopiado on his mission to write things refreshingly unique.
A deep lover of the blues … from the Chicago urban-blues stylings of artists like Paul Butterfield to more southern-fried guitar greats like Freddie King, Acopiado breathes energy into his music with a style of lead guitar playing that is infectiously expressive. In 2022, the Joey Acopiado Band is a string of musicians unlike any other, featuring the contributions of Dylan Barnett (second guitarist), Alex Garrin (bass), and Evan Hill (drums). Aisle Five is a dynamic indie/alternative band hailing from the vibrant city of Chicago. Formed during their college years, this talented group of musicians—lead singer Izzie Rutledge, guitarists Malcolm Filichia and Simon Shah, bassist Meriah Fearon, and drummer Ethan Reinbach—came together through a shared passion for music. Once formed it did not take long for the band to turn into a collaborative and creative force.
Aisle Five’s music weaves together the dreamy melodies of indie rock and raw energy of alternative pop. The duo of Malcolm Filichia and Simon Shah provides the band’s distinct guitar-driven sound. Their intricate and melodic guitar work intertwines seamlessly with Meriah Fearon’s funky bass lines providing the backbone of Aisle Five’s music. Ethan Reinbach propels the band’s music with relentless energy through his unique mix of precision and controlled chaos, seamlessly transitioning between delicate patterns and explosive fills. The soulful vocals of Izzie Rutledge top off the band’s sound as she effortlessly captivates audiences with the band’s infectious melodies.

Chicago songwriter Emma Butterworth is carving a niche for herself in the American indie scene with her uniquely soulful brand of indie-leaning folk rock. A keen storyteller and careful lyricist, she cuts straight to the heart of life’s big questions, examining moments of love, loss, growth, and self-acceptance with characteristic wit and wisdom. Her cheeky stage presence reveals a curious mind and a penchant for deeply melancholic songs, while her lush vocals have been compared to iconic acts like Brandi Carlile and The Head and the Heart. There’s a casual power when Butterworth sings that feels both practiced and raw: agile, occasionally vulnerable, but always sure—hers is a voice you’d follow in an emergency. The root of that strength lies in her own, joyful sense of self, which infuses even her most somber ballads with a buoyant, silver-lined charm.
Out from the quiet orchards of rural Michigan with a nomadic itch, Libby DeCamp has spent an adolescence in close companionship with bodies of music and literature of conscious yesteryear, among hinterlands of horses and history. Driven by a will to connect on a raw, human level, Libby makes lyrically-edged folk and roots-steeped music with a bewitching sense of urgency, and delivers with a honeyed vocal closeness that reaches listeners of all kinds. The soundscape is captivating- dark, visceral, and laced with western, blues, ragtime, and early rock and roll muses. Born from fervent ties to both “The Old , Weird America” and perhaps the “New, Weird America” and the collective voices that have sung their truths through the ages, DeCamp’s writing carries an unflinching intention to reflect the times and sing the humanity within them.
Speared by her debut EP titled “Cross Sections,” following a number of years cutting teeth in various folk groups right out of high school) DeCamp has rounded her home state and toured cross-country with no time to waste, taking her show on the road extensively, both solo and with the two-brother rhythm section, Adam and Brandon Schreiber. Grammy award-winning producer Oz Fritz (Tom Waits, John Hammond) praises “DeCamp’s ability as an artist to absorb and express a wide range of diverse influences, to convincingly invoke the struggles of the human condition…” and notes that “The authentic, weathered flavor of the music for each song provides the atmosphere and movement to draw the listener in to the intimacy of the stories.” Her work , finding resonances from the dives and dancehalls of Nashville and New Orleans, to protest and mutual aid shows, to notable spots like Tulsa’s Woody Guthrie Center and The Detroit Institute of Arts, has been spotlighted by TedX, scored multiple placements on MTV hit shows, and continues to peak interest with spacial, provocative recordings and an entrancing live energy.
“Westward and Faster”, the songwriter’s full-length debut (released May, 2021) is a daring, ten-song set of vicissitudes of American life in all its color- charged in times of critical social and political upheaval. The interplay of the plain-sung poetry with sprawling, spaghetti western-like guitar lines, pedal steel, and deep, live-cut grooves with upright bass and vintage drums conjures something entirely new, with homage to the old American musical lexicon. The opening song, “Asked for Water” (the title itself a nod to a traditional blues line) kicks off the tone of the record by laying the metaphor of the real-life unfolding of the Standing Rock and Flint Water crises right into personal perspective, beckoning a closer understanding and sense of connectedness with its verse, “And it all funnels down to just this one thing/ Is my safety what will separate me?” The vantage frequently shifts from worldly to otherworldly throughout the album, from lighthearted grooves to deeply meditative cuts with melodies and licks that linger long after the first listen. “Westward and Faster” is available on all major platforms May, 2021.

Curtis Foster is an independent hip-hop artist from Chicago who blends a variety of influences into his own brand of “melodic hip-hop”. Lyrically his rhymes incorporate details of personal struggle, self-reflection, contemplation, motivation, wordplay just for the hell of it, and a healthy dose of nerd and movie culture references.
Sonically his sound typically incorporates elements of old-school and modern hip-hop with hard-hitting, fast-paced production, quick-fire bars, and an injection of melody for good measure. His writing abilities are displayed through the versatility of his music, switching from rapid-fire, aggressive rhymes to slower, more melodic flows and even infusing elements of rock and punk music through his guitar playing.
He’s worked with and opened for a number of notable acts including Wrekonize of ¡MAYDAY!, Ekoh, Joe Budden, Ja Rule, Cam’ron, Curren$y, and KXNG Crooked.
