THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD
The brutally heavy death metal of Through the Eyes of the Dead first appeared in June 2003, with the original band lineup of Anthony Gunnels (vocals), Justin Longshore (guitar), Richard Turbeville (guitar), Jeff Springs (bass), and Dayton Cantley (drums). Based in Florence, South Carolina, the guys looked up to acts like At the Gates, Morbid Angel, and Cannibal Corpse, influences that could be heard on their debut five-song EP, The Scars of Ages, recorded with Jamie King (Between the Buried and Me). Making quick of things, TTEOTD signed to LoveLost Records by the fall of 2003; the label released their EP the following January, which promptly started a buzz around the metal scene. Shortly after its release, Turbeville exited the band and was replaced within months by guitarist Chris Anderson, who quickly learned the necessary material so the band could head out on dates with labelmates One Dead Three Wounded.
TTEOTD inked a deal with Prosthetic in early summer 2005, though soon after the announcement, Springs and Cantley jumped ship; drummer Josh Kulick and eventually bassist (and former Arsismember) Jake Ososkie joined on in their places. A split album with the Knife Trade appeared that July before their first proper full-length, Bloodlust, was issued in October. TTEOTD stayed on the road for the next year, including spending summer 2006 on the popular Sounds of the Underground tour alongside bands like In Flames and Trivium. Gunnels departed in early 2007, and he was soon replaced by Nate Johnson (ex-Premonitions of War), who made his studio debut on that year’s Malice. Johnson left the fold shortly after the album’s release, and was replaced by Danny Rodriguez, who handled vocal duties on 2010’s hard-hitting Skepsis. In August 2017, TTEOTD issued the single “Hate the Living” in anticipation of the release of their fourth studio long-player, Disomus, which arrived later that October. ~ Corey Apar, Jovi

THY WILL BE DONE
Thy Will Be Done are an American Heavy Metal Band hailing from Providence, RI. The band released their new 6-song EP entitled “Temple” on September 25th, 2012. Known for their DIY approach, the EP was produced and engineered by THY WILL BE DONE, mixed by acclaimed metal producer ZEUSS (Whitechapel, Suicide Silence, Soulfly) at Planet Z and is the inaugural release on the band’s own Eye.On Lion Recordings with INgrooves Fontana handling world-wide distribution. Eye.On Lion Recordings is a DIY-style record label designed to release new music, merchandise, as well as other media from the band. The first single, “You, The Apathy Divine”, was officially released through iTunes on June 26th following the band’s performance at the “Orion Music + More” Festival, for which they were hand-picked by the festival curators Metallica.
“Temple” is the band’s third release following 2009’s groundbreaking In Ancient of Days and the critically acclaimed 2007 debut, Was And Is To Come. The Temple EP shows the band expanding on their sound that both peers and press have already described as defying metal sub-genres. In addition to cracking the Top 10 on Billboard Heatseeker charts regionally at #9 and the whirlwind of positive accolades surrounding it’s unveiling; ‘Temple’ was voted Revolver Magazine’s ‘Album Of The Week’.
The first single off the EP, “You, The Apathy Divine” climbed steadily on SiriusXM Liquid Metal’s weekly Top 12 countdown “The Devil’s Dozen” eventually hitting the #1 position for 4 straight weeks. “You, The Apathy Divine” maintained a top requested song for 20+ weeks. Listeners voted it as one of the TOP 12 most requested songs for 2012.
On deciding to pave their way and start their own label, the band’s vocalist and co-writer J Costa commented, “As a band, we’ve always wanted to preserve our expressions as well as the way they reach the listener. It’s important for us to have a fan feel, see, and hear the finished piece as closely to the creative source of energy as possible. Eye.On Lion is a way for us to offer our artistic creations to those who choose to support us and by proxy, excludes a lot of ‘middle-people’.” He added, “Growing up, I’ve always thought about having my own label and could identify with labels like Dischord that seemed to be doing things from a passionate perspective. I also found it inspiring seeing artists like Jack White and Mike Patton, amongst others, as well as bands like Neurosis, Tool and Clutch whom have decided to blaze their own trail in this ever-changing industry. Having worked with Jamey Jasta and his Stillborn label for our first two releases, I was inspired even more to want to maintain the DIY ethos I’ve always had and start this label.” Costa adds “Jamey’s belief in us got us started on this journey. Not only do we consider him Family, but also an inspiration to us.”
THY WILL BE DONE has toured extensively throughout Japan, Europe and the U.K. They have taken to the stage in North American for a plethora of performances including tours supporting the likes of Machine Head, Lamb of God, All That Remains, DevilDriver, Five Finger Death Punch, Hatebreed and Fear Factory just to name a few. Refreshed and invigorated with the release of their new EP, THY WILL BE DONE are ready for the next chapter. Tour dates and additional updates will be coming soon.

THEY ALL HAVE LEGS
THEY FACE REACTION
CURITOWN TO CHITOWN: FROM THE JUNGLES OF BRAZIL TO THE ALLEYS OF THE U.S. They Face Reaction has been around since the beginning of 2006 and was originally found in the city of Curitiba in Brazil. When singer/guitar-strummer Pedro Prosdocimo a.k.a. Greeps came back from the experience of living and playing as a guest in a punk rock band in Europe in the end of 2005 he took a little time to assimilate the experience. Then back home he took a few remaining songs from his then dead local Curitiba hardcore punk band Citizen Caged and metamorphosed them into a not so fast, more angular but pop at the same time, consistency. He then knew that a new outfit had to be created. When his cousin Ren Volpi, a post-hardcore singer/guitar player veteran as well, came back from California they named it They Face Reaction and completed the 4 piece with local scene’s band-mates, and also adding some of Ren’s actual compositions to the set. After about a year and a half of independent material release and small touring they reached the maximum level of recognition they could ever expect from their home country’s little audience. The small success back home have inspired for a big decision of relocating to U.S. and Chicago IL ended up being the chosen scene for these punk rock enthusiasts to start over in 2008. Now the band has recently been re-based and had the honor of Chicagoan members Tyler Eckhart and David Perrin joining respectively on the positions of drums and bass guitar player. Their first performances as the new formation started on the summer of 2009 in Chicago and they have never been so excited.
