EversoJake is a class act! Their creative songwriting, inspiring vocals, and outstanding musicianship create a very unique presentation, yet very welcoming allure to a wide demographic. The music is primarily guitar driven rock incorporating classic rock, blues, jazz, and country styles. The lyric and vocal style is something to behold covering a spectrum from modern day rebellious indie-rock to the sexy torch sound from the speakeasy era.
EversoJake? During the band’s initial shows, various audience members and fellow musicians suggested that, together, the band members portrayed the essence of a circa-1920’s, prohibition-era band that might be found jamming at your local juice joint. Whether it was because of their enjoyment of martinis or their portrayal of a “party-like-it’s-illegal” kind of style, the comparisons were drawn. They were very “jake”. In 1920’s Chicago, “Jake” was a slang term for “cool.” Thus evolved: “EversoJake” — the band’s homage to the euphoria often experienced when doing what you love (and drinking martinis).
In early 2006, EversoJake finalized its cast of characters and began performing throughout their hometown, Chicago. Performances are dynamic, ranging from bare essential acoustic shows to the incorporation of extra talent to achieve that perfect “recording-studio” produced sound. Energetic guitar playing and seductive singing make the band’s visual presence exciting — some would even say mesmerizing.
Songwriting is EversoJake’s cornerstone. This is evident on their debut CD “If it Makes a Good Story”. “If it Makes a Good Story” is currently being marketed on iTunes, CD Baby, and PayPlay.FM. Additional avenues are being surveyed daily to pursue both sales and publishing/licensing opportunities. The band has already generated fans and sales in Europe via their first tour of Germany.
ESJ fits the bill and hits the mark whether their music is pouring out of a personal stereo system, setting a mood for television / movies, floating through a coffee shop during an acoustic set, or blazing from a festival stage. EversoJake is a versatile band you do not want to miss.

Ex Deo was formed in 2008 as an artistic project Maurizio Iacono was really interested in and as it caught on, it became more of a band. However, Iacono said in an interview that Ex Deo will not be as active as Kataklysm is. “Ex Deo is more of a prestigious type of band. We’re not going to tour intensively for it, we’re not going do as much as we do for Kataklysm. Kataklysm is a world-warrior band, you know. It’s on the road constantly and more in touch with social aspects. This (Ex Deo) is more something artistic, you know.”-frontman Maurizio Iacono
Remember when hardcore was fun and positive? Explode And Make Up do. Why? Cuz they’re old. Cuz they remember a time before eyeliner, tight black jeans, studded belts, and online whoring were part of the genre’s essentials. Lifetime basement shows? Explode And Make Up were there. Mailing demos back and forth? Been there, done that. Getting picked on at school for wearing a Circle Jerks shirt? Not in 2009, buddy. Featuring members and ex-members of 88 Fingers Louie, The Methadones, The Bomb, The Story So Far,and Tomorrows Gone, you can bet these guys aren’t gonna whine about high school and ex-girlfriends. Listen to “The Crew” and “Can I Say” and then come on over!

I grew up on a farm outside St. Louisville, Ohio. At 22, I rode out with a beat up van and $200, bound for Chicago. I met Kilian Sweeney there. In the winter of 2009, we formed 3 Tons with Dan Smykowski and Ivan Stankowicz. We built a muscled sound with country roots and the hard drive of the city.
There is no irony here. Just, straight ahead songs from a transplanted country boy.
-Erin Edmister
ERIN EDMISTER AND THREE TONS
Erin Edmister has been hollering lyrics and strumming his acoustic guitar through the American Songbook and his striking original songs since 2014 at Bernice’s Tavern, in Bridgeport.
It was at this highly esteemed dive bar that Edmister, and long time guitarist/collaborator, Kilian Sweeney, first encountered Joey Werner’s pounding drums and Brian Tredup’s sultry bass. Soon, the four fused their original sounds together to create a rocking country ruckus: Erin Edmister and Three Tons.
With this new line-up and a fresh record out in January 2018, this group will surely charm you with vibrant harmonies, lively tunes, and a hell of a good time!

EMPIRES
“A big, multifaceted, tower-of-power sound” and “inspired by the independent spirit of 90s grunge, Empires’ music takes the urgency and emotion of that era and reboots it for a new generation.” – Rolling Stone
[Empires has] set about doing this right. It’s a sentiment reinforced by these sterling alt-pop tracks boasting delicious symmetry of texture and tension. The 20 minutes Empires deliver on BANG makes a strong case that given the current music landscape, bands would be best off releasing EPs of their best songs while the material’s still fresh… – Alternative Press
“Layer U2’s early anthemics and The National’s moody swing, ladle on copious amounts of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club’s fuzz buzz and add dashes of Catherine Wheel and Modest Mouse. Cook under stage lights until they and you are completely done.” – CityBeat
“All ethereal and doomy like the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club or the Black Angels, but with a little bit of My Chemical Romance snarl thrown in for good measure” – MTV
