Velcro Lewis Group is Earth’s premier acid-rock, space-funk septet. The band twists the aesthetics of Funkadelic, Hawkwind, Temptations, and Black Sabbath into their own living -breathing planet of sound. Using conventional instruments like electric washboard, theremin, and modular synths Velcro Lewis Group mixes in the unique sounds of guitar, bass, and drums to optimize their joyful noise. Lead by Hawk Colman, the brother with the 5 octave range, honky tonk veteran, Lawrence Peters singing bass, and blind growler Andy Slater filling out the harmonies folks can’t deny the commands and demands shouted from the stage. On their 5th full length album, Amnesia Haze, the group set out to deal with some serious shit. The band entered the studio 2 days after the Presidential election. With disgust and uncertainty driving the session the lyrics had changed and the performances intensified. What was once abstractly political had become unapologetically direct. Racial violence, gun violence, police violence, street harassment, xenophobia, fascism, feminism, every point of rage and discourse the country was feeling. Patriarchal Reptile, a free-noise piece voiced by Theremin player Alison Hunger, was recorded and added to the album last minute as a response to the thin-skinned gynophobiac set to lead our country. Amnesia Haze is a cry for unity and awakening from a band sick of fucking around.
Velnias exists as a an entity in opposition to this misguided and failing modern world. The music is a reflection of man’s falling and the grandeur of that which he has forsaken.
Vicious Attack is an extreme thrash metal band from the southside of Chicago, Illinois. Formed during the summer of 2007, the band immediately made their presence known playing shows through the city and suburbs. In January of 2008 Vicious Attack recorded a two track demo with Bob O’Connor of Creature Feature Studios and distributed it through the area. They continued to hammer out shows throughout Chicago-land, playing major venues like Reggie’s Rock Club and The Beat Kitchen, and continued to cement their reputation as a fierce, energetic live act. In March of 2009 Vicious Attack recorded their Blade of the Reaper EP. Engineered by Bob Pop and Mike at Gunpoint Studios and mastered by Joe Diliberto at Tonal Eclipse Studios, Blade of the Reaper showed the band progressing into a faster, more focused sound. Vicious Attack released their first full length album, Declaration Of War, on April 10th, 2021.

Ugly Radio Rebellion was originally formed in July 2002 as a Detroit, MI band known as Uncle Meat. Guitarist Scott Schroen felt inspired to start a project consisting of everyone and anyone capable of playing the music of Frank Zappa. An ad was placed in the local paper simply stating, “musicians wanted to perform the music of Frank Zappa” and so ensued a few weekends of what was later dubbed, “Zappa Survivor”. Groups of musicians would essentially drill selected pieces during rehearsal and later everyone would vote on who they think should stay for the next round. After a few no-shows, a few driven to quit by musical intimidation and a collection of other circumstances, the few that were left from the ‘survivor’ sessions ultimately became the lineup for Uncle Meat. The project performed FZ around the greater Detroit area until the last show on FZ’s birthday, December of 2003. From breaking barriers as the first death metal band behind the Iron Curtain to secure an international record deal in the early ’90s to sharing the stage with Slayer and Metallica in front of tens of thousands of fans years later, Vader have cemented their status as true road warriors over the past 40 years. With 12 albums under their belt, they continue to deliver high-quality music, staying relevant to both longtime devotees and new generations.
Formed in Olsztyn in 1983 and named after Star Wars’ infamous dark lord, Vader went through numerous lineup changes with founding vocalist/guitarist Piotr “Peter” Wiwczarek remaining its driving force since day one. Originally rooted in heavy/speed metal, influences from Slayer, Kreator or Dark Angel made Vader grow into something far more brutal. After years of shows in Eastern Europe and various demos – like the legendary “Morbid Reich” – they signed with Earache Records releasing “The Ultimate Incantation” (1992) as the band’s international debut.
After their departure from Earache, Vader’s sound evolved dramatically, resulting in classic albums such as “De Profundis”, “Black to the Blind”, and “Litany”. In 2009, Vader joined Nuclear Blast where they’ve released five albums to date.
Now, in 2025, Vader proves to be as ferocious and unyielding as ever on its new EP, “Humanihility”, which will be presented live on the “March of the Unbending” tour and the upcoming “Summer Rampage” festival run.
Trembling Earth celebrates a decade of live shows with the release of their first studio album “Creatures” debuts strong originals like the songs “Lookout”, “Words of Wisdom” and “Reno”. Currently the album is only available at live shows. Trembling Earth was founded by guitarist/songwriter John Heath in the year 2001 in Athens, GA. For most of this decade Trembling Earth has done shows in the South and across the Mid-west. John chose the name Trembling Earth in homage to his hometown and the Okefenokee Swamp, which translates from Native American to mean “Land of the Trembling Earth”. After a 4 year stint based in Chicago, and a National tour last Spring with shows in Waycross, Athens, Savannah, and Tallahasse, Trembling Earth returns to Ann Arbor, MI.
Chicago modern metal powerhouse TRIALS is set to make a triumphant return on May 1st with the release of their sophomore album, “In the Shadow of Swords.”
Coming off the heels of their 2011 debut, “Witness to the Downfall”, “In the Shadow of Swords” sees the band take their blend of melodic death and muscular, technical thrash to the next level. Don’t mistake those words for the typical promotional hyperbole either. TRIALS has truly upped the ante where aggression, songwriting and sheer metallic power are concerned.
This powerhouse trio’s influences are good music, real life experiences, politics and people. Musically their influences range from Jimmi Hendrix and Social Distortion, to Incubus and Primus. They would call themselves an experimental rock band with a gritty reggae edge, but their balanced blend of aggressive guitar, explosive drums, and clean rhythmic bass come together beautifully to create something that can’t be classified. When you listen to Trigger Fish’s unique combination of dark lyrics, soulful melodies, and radical yet emotional transitions, you really get to go along for the ride – it’s an all around sensory experience.
With music influences of all genres, THC is a developing force, finding its sound between hard-punching, chaotic metal cuts and the (sometimes) clean, melodic undertones. From high intensity percussion accompanied by madness, to more calculated , delicate arrangements, this band has a sound which is unique yet familiar in every way.
