THE SHELL CORPORATION
Mission Statement from the Shell Corporation, for immediate media dissemination:
“We shall continue to deliver best value to our stakeholders by providing superior music to our customers, maintaining our high financial performance and improving our standing as a good corporate citizen of the world by aligning our direction in long-term sustainable fashion”
Contrary to popular belief, The Shell Corporation are a band. Jan, Curtiss, Sean and Jake have been in other bands, but we didn’t come here to dwell on past indiscretions, we gathered here today to talk about their new band. A band that has been described as Hot Water Music, old Against Me, Jawbreaker and The Flatliners, but much more handsome and talented, by their respective mothers.
Money, Fame…The Shell Corporation craves not these things. Ok, money would be nice but for now they will settle for getting on every stage and down in every basement they can find and screaming at you till they blow their voices out. And while waiting for the checks to arrive they will just keep working soulless day jobs so they can continue to make songs about what’s wrong with the world (PLENTY!) mixed with some good ol’ fashioned melody.
They released their debut album “Force Majeure” in September 2011 and a 7″ EP entitled “Bread & Circuses” and immediately began touring Europe and the U.S. shoving their message down the pie holes of anyone that will hear it. This summer will see the re-release of their debut on 12″ vinyl (Solidarity Recordings), as well as the release of their follow up EP “Time and Pressure”. These releases will be followed up with extensive touring the US and a European tour in November, 2012.
And if you don’t know, now you know…
GUNNER’S DAUGHTER
Gunner’s Daughter has been spreading their message of melodic punk rock to the Chicagoland area, having the honor of performing at Chicago area venues as Reggie’s Rock Club, House of Blues, Double Door, Bottom Lounge, and been able to share the stage with National touring acts, Silverstein, Fireworks, The Swellers, Polar Bear Club, Punchline. Gunner’s Daughter has also been out on two regional tours.
Friendships have been forged and unspeakable bonds have been created by these journeymen Bassist Chris Ramos, Guitar/Vocals Chris Behm, and drummer Blake “Bam” Miller. The shared passion of honest, fresh, melodic punk rock amongst Gunner’s Daughter have brought them together and given them the opportunity to add to that legacy. With a full pallet of songs accompanying these troubadours, Gunner’s Daughter eagerly awaits to see where the future will take them. The next chapter in the Gunner’s Daughter story is being written as we speak and the future is looking pretty damn good. See you on tour!!! SFP!!
THE HEAVIES
The rock bands call us a surf band, the surf bands call us a rock band…..we are the HEAVIES!!! BIG drums-FAT bass-STINGING guitars…check us out and be overcome by a tsunami of sound! Christmas 1999: Jason and I were talking about music and got on the subject of surf-instro and both expressed interest in playing it. Three months later we started getting together at his place and learned about 15-20 songs with me playing rhythm and him on lead. We looked for about 18 months for a drummer and bass player with no luck. Jay knew Jim from some job sites they had worked at and asked him to play drums with us. The 3 of us started practicing regularly in the spring of ’02 in Jim’s parents’ garage while we kept looking for a bass player. Jim’s Dad thought the stuff we were playing sounded great and started learning the bass lines. We played our first “show” labor day weekend 2002 at a 3-band birthday party as a 4-piece. Two months later, his dad passed the bass duties on to Jim’s brother, who moved to California and soon the revolving door started. After 4 years and 7 different bass players we decided to become a 3 piece and Jay and I switch between bass and guitar during sets.

The Real Gone’s approach to classic instrumentals leaves listeners goners for life … transported in time. We look forward to making your event a Real Goner.
The Real Gone is one of the few true surf rock bands in the area. The tones, beat, technique and attitude are of utmost importance when presenting this music. The Real Gone replicates the classic sounds of the era while bringing a youthful vigor so as not to be a parody or novelty act. Influences include: The Ventures, Link Wray, Dick Dale, The Shadows, The Sadies, Duane Eddy, The Ghastly Ones, Man Or Astro-Man … etc.
