Four Chicagoan friends playing rock music for your third ear. We will rock your socks off. We draw from a wide variety of influences, but most people classify us as some type of hard math rock. There’s a definite psychedelic vibe going on that continues to develop, but we are not a jam band in the stereotypical sense of the genre. ETP includes members of the now defunct bands, Tough Get Going, Devlin Progress, Halos Astray, and Maus as well as the active artists Monsoon, Asa Nisi Masa, and Masochistic Values.

Combine tight musicianship with a loose cannon and you get Cooler by the Lake. With a two-guitar attack, rhythm section, keys, flute and sax, a dedicated back up singer and raucous singer Rory Lake at the helm, Cooler by the Lake has conquered rock clubs all over the Midwest for the last 12 years. It’s more than music; it’s an intense rock experience. That’s why their shaken cocktail of classic rock, psych, prog and punk appeals to all fans of rock, especially when served by wildly charismatic Rory Lake. Due to their unique versatility and amplified entertainment factor, Cooler by the Lake has squeezed on stages with rock legends Molly Hatchet, The Fixx and Asia as well as punk and indie acts Nashville Pussy, Cherry Valence, Danko Jones and Apocalypse Hoboken. Cooler by the Lake has also performed during a live simulcast of a bacon eating contest on ABC’s, The Jimmy Kimmel Show.

ThinGrin is a band comprised of former and current members of the legendary Chicago pop group Slammin Watusis, Green and Raving Mad. Bassist Clay Tomasek and guitarist Steve Zahradnik, have emerged on the scene with songs that blend great pop hooks with a little bit of alt-country soul mixed in. Drawing inspiration from bands like the Kinks, Cheap trick, The Rolling Stones and Gram Parsons, ThinGrin is looking to stake their claim in the tradition of other great midwestern bands, with songs that stick in the subconscious.
