Puff ‘n’ Stuff is a 4-piece instrumental ensemble based collectively out of Lafayette, Indiana. With roots tracing to the music of King Crimson, Darryl Reeves, Primus, and 70’s fusion, this ensemble turns heads with their technical prowess and musical intimacy. Having played at notable venues including People’s Brewing, North End Pub, and even making a main stage appearance at Big Pine Breakdown, Puff ‘n’ Stuff is breaking into the Chicago scene by virtue of their saxophonist, Chicago resident Kyle Brooks.
Coming with a setlist full of both original music and classic jams from artists like D’angelo and Erykah Badu, Puff ‘n’ Stuff is ready to turn heads in their first Chicago appearance. The band’s chemistry, music, and presence is indicative of their rich tapestry of musical influences, with members each involved in several of their own projects. Bassist Gibson Wells has been on the road supporting folk star Marc Ridge, guitarist Seamus Lavignette just released his own recording “Awakening of the Heart/Inner Being” as drummer Blake Watts is constantly traveling and performing throughout the midwest. The band joins forces in Chicago for the first time exclusively at Reggie’s to bring a night of love, fun, and passion, in support of headliner Mr. Blotto.
