The Queers

We’ve been playing music and touring all over the world for almost 30 years now. We released a few records for Lookout! Records in the early 90s and then had a terrible stint with Hopeless in the late 90s. I don’t think they wanna see us and we definitely don’t wanna see them. Then we released one more record with Lookout! but afterwards switched to our favorite record label we’ve ever had, Asian Man Records. All this while touring a bunch. THE JASONS

HOTLIPS MESSIAH

HotLips Messiah is Chicago’s premier mutant rock band. They have been a fixture on the Chicago punk and mutant rock scene for a decade and played legendary venues such as the Lounge Ax and the Fireside Bowl. Large venues like the Congress Theatre, and dinky little holes in the wall like the Big Horse. They have played with bands as obscure as Phil A. Sheo & the Goods and with bands as huge as the Misfits. With classic original bands like the Avengers and the Germs and with modern inspired schizos the Rotten Fruits, the Urinal Mints and the Functional Blackouts. Musically, they are a tornado of noise, filth and ass-shaking melody and catchiness. Lyrically, they use science fiction and sleaze as a blunt metaphor for the INhuman condition mankind finds itself in today.

WON’T STAY DEAD

Horror-themed punk band with grunge and new wave influences from Chicago, blending catchy hooks and harmonies with macabre lyrics.

Won’t Stay Dead formed in 2017 and has been playing with the current lineup since late 2022.

WSD released their first full-length album ‘Purgatory’ October ’21 on Don’t Panic Records & Distro. In February ’23 they released the ‘3 Hits From Purgatory’ EP with We Are Horror Records. This EP featured outtakes from the “Purgatory’ recording session.

The band has played all over Chicagoland, at Subterranean, Beat Kitchen, Schubas, Reggie’s, Cobra Lounge, Liar’s Club, and more, opening for local and national acts such as The Falcon, Teenage Bottlerocket, Blitzkid, Days N Daze, Flatfoot 56, The Dopamines, Calabrese, The Bollweevils, and Huntingtons.
WSD has played outside the Chicagoland area in Midwest cities Cleveland & Toledo, OH; Milwaukee, Madison, and Green Bay, WI; Indianapolis & Valparaiso, IN; Rockford, IL; and Grand Rapids, Lansing, & Saginaw, MI.
