Lines In The Sky is an independent progressive rock band based out of Nashville, TN. Their unique sound is credited to a variety of legendary rock act influences, such as Peter Gabriel, Rush, Yes and early Genesis, to contemporaries like Coheed and Cambria and Strapping Young Lad.
Although they pay homage to their musical influences through their work, Lines In The Sky has been carving out their own space in the rock world. Starting out with a bang, LITS’ first two LPs were in collaboration with Tim Palmer (David Bowie, U2, Pearl Jam). Following those releases came the stunning LP Beacon in 2018 and single “Thalassophobia” in 2019. The act regrouped after the departure of the band’s bassist, and then woodshedded during the pandemic shutdown. Today, the band’s new bassist Nick Mills rounds out brothers Jesse Brock (lead guitar/Vocals) and Bowman Brock (drums) on Insight.
Independent touring veterans, LITS was warmly welcomed at international progressive rock festival Rites of Spring Festival (aka RoSFest), which has hosted bands like The Pineapple Thief, Thank You Scientist, Billboard-charting Haken, Bent Knee and Spock’s Beard. The band also received press recognition and praise, both in the U.S. and internationally, boasting coverage from outlets such as PopMatters, Metal Injection, PROG UK, and 3-page spread in PROG Italia. Recently, LITS has generated traction on TikTok—garnering 23K views from their “Synchronicity I” cover song play-through video, and the new live show footage video currently poised to surpass it.
With undeniable musical authenticity, the band’s distinctive sound is continually solidifying their place with core rock fans while attracting new ones that are not yet familiar with this young native Nashville trio.
