Sam Trump is a multi‐instrumentalist and singer/songwriter from Houston, TX, and has been a student of music for over 22 years. Trump not only sings, but plays
the trumpet and ukulele, and is heavily involved in Chicago’s live music scene, where he’s known for creating an experience that is best described as sophisticated & soulful. Feb 14th will be the release of his next EP entitled LOVE NOTES, which features 5 dynamic songs with rich vocal production, reminiscent of R/B & Soul music from an earlier place in time.
A few notable performances would be for SheaMoisture, The Curtis Mayfield Foundation, and Chicago Urban League, and Trump has opened up for international acts such as Muhsinah, Jose James, Phonte, and Kindred The Family Soul.
A recent, notable collaboration is on Add‐2’s latest album, Prey For The Poor, where Sam co‐composed two songs that featured Grammy Award Winner, Rapsody.
Trump’s two latest Official Music Videos have received critical acclaim for their positive message and imagery. Check out “Brother” and “Count On Me” at www.SamTumpOnline.com.
Throughout his original music, Trump wants to remain innovative, but also convey a preservation of down-home soul. Trump plans to remain a professional educator and continue to write, perform, and expand as a musical creator.
