IRONFINGER
When the IRONFINGER pokes you, you will step back at first. Immediately after, you will step forward to accept the challenge and take a better listen at exactly what the FINGER is telling you. IRONFINGER will blast you to the core with its direct assault on the senses. IRONFINGER is hard-driving rock, chock full of relentless guitar riffs and jagged instrumental and vocal melodies.
P.K. Ripper, guitarist of Chicago progressive metal legends Slauter Xstroyes, assembled IRONFINGER along with guitarist Jerry Buczko and bassist Bill Dixon. Their intent is to burn down an audience as if a scorching 85 mile-an-hour wind of fire were charging from the stage. Their front line of blistering guitar runs are precise yet unpredictable, serving only as a full-throttle thrust into one of their many blasting groove-heavy rhythms. Drummer John Ashe antagonistically encourages them to forge forward with his heavy-handed slamming, pushing and pulling without remorse. With the addition of vocalist Fred Morg, IRONFINGER stretches melodies up and over the entire machine, as well as weaving a melodic thread through the counterpoint. Their lyrics, bringing insight to a world losing touch with its human element, are made more meaningful when the IRONFINGER audio assault pushes it forward.
IRONFINGER’s sound is derived from its members’ varied backgrounds. Each members is a seasoned veteran of the hard rock music scene, having merged together from different corners of Chicago’s rock scene. Whether it be Rock, Punk/Pop, or Metal; and the interaction is still seamless and honest without sounding like a dysfunctional melting pot. IT JUST ROCKS.
The FINGER is on the trigger, and its shooting will be rapid and focused. Every IRONFINGER live show wins over its audience, and their soon-to-be-released debut will do the same in 2014. With its seemingly endless arsenal of musical ideas and conquered goals, IRONFINGER WILL POKE AT YOU.
DOGHOUSE SWINE
DogHouse Swine was formed in mid 2009 by Ian, lead guitarist and vocalist, CEO, and self-proclaimed unstoppable force of nature. B.T., former guitar player and co-founder for the Legendary punk band The Wretched Ones, and Chris DeBellis on drums. After playing various club shows in the NJ/NY area, in 2010 they recorded their debut album ‘Faster Side Of Normal’, and released it under their own label Banned Records. Their first single “Bitch” also featured a video, directed by Dave Neabore of Dog Eat Dog fame. They have continued to play shows opening for noteable international bands such as Electric Frankenstein, and Mucky Pup. In 2012 the band expanded to include another member Iron Rich on bass, who was the former bassist for the The Wretched Ones, thus moving B.T. back to his natural state on rhythm guitar. By doing that the band’s sound has become beefier and more sonic, witch is evient on their new album, titled ‘Dogs Of War’, just realeased in Aug 2012. Another video will also be produced as well for the Album, by Dave Neabore once again. Uncharted Radio .com writes, “If you like your punk rock as authentic as it can get, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with these guys. This is punk rock to the core.” Rock N’ Roll Army ezine from Germany writes “Honest and pure old school punk rock with no frills.” The band’s goal is to continue building an international fan base, and for more extensive touring, on an international level, as well as domestically.
THE BLACK SAINTS
Formed in early 2009, The Black Saints have been preaching the glorious intensity and frenetic power of the most classic elements of rock n’ roll and punk in their own delicious and wicked voice. They unabashedly revel in the sound of guitar-drenched rock revival that defines a new generation of independent music listener.
With just over two years in the scene, this hard rock four-piece has toured all over the Midwest and to the East Coast of the United States, playing over 80 shows in that short time. Their artist debut arrived at Summerfest, the world’s largest outdoor music festival, where they have performed every year since the band’s inception. Their high energy live performance has seen them share the stage with the likes of LA’s Steel Panther, founding member of KISS Ace Frehley, The Last Vegas, Gilby Clarke, John Corabi, Sevendust, Blind Melon, and The Dirty Pearls among other established artists.
Their debut EP, All Sinners Welcome, is a blistering collection of six sleazed-up high energy rockers. The record features their hit single Dead Man Walking and has already gotten airplay in Colombia, Australia, Belgium, Japan, South Africa, Canada, and the USA where the band has been featured by the Hard Rock Nights radio show in its ’15 bands to watch in 2011′ list of up & coming artists.
Things continue to look up for this promising young band of rock n’ rollers as they continue spreading their sound throughout the world through touring, airplay, & word of mouth. With the completion of their second tour of the year behind them, The Black Saints are currently in the studio with legendary Jeff Hamilton recording their third album slated to be released in February 2015.
This is rock music as it was meant to be. This is how The Black Saints do it.
ROSENCRANTZ
Rosencrantz (formerly Aztalan) is influenced by such bands as Braid, Thursday, At The Drive-in, Taking back Sunday , Cursive, and many others. Like many relationships now-a-days, this one started online. Nils and Rob happened to start chatting online about starting a new project with a unique math-y sound mixed in with their 90s emo influences. Nils and Rob spent almost a year jamming and perfecting their sound before they found a bassist, Ian. Ian introduced them to drummer Brian. After a few months and a few shows, Ian had to depart from the group to focus on other projects. Shortly thereafter, Keegan strolled into their Waukesha practice space and the band was ready to record. They spent a weekend at Howl Street Recording Studios. After recording the ep (never released), the boys took a break and decided to move on without Brian. Re-grouping in the spring of 2014, Brandon joined them on drums, and the Schlitz loving foursome was officially born. Rosencrantz plans to record in early September and release a new ep in January of 2015.
