THE SHAKES – CHICAGO
The shakes are focused on creating a brief escape from the daily hamster wheel they both created and consider themselves blessed and grateful for. The music is a journey though privileged suburban life with a feeling of knowing they clearly overachieved based on their own capabilities. If Social Distortion and Elvis had a love child whose god parents were Frank Turner and the Black Crowes it’s name would be The Shakes, it would always be a little achy, and it’s first words would be “not dead yet.”
