So many bands nowadays sound alike, and even more shoot for a linear sounding style, it’s due time a band steps forward to break the stale mold of the progressive metal scene. “To create a fresh perspective on progressive metal and help to rebuild their scene” – that’s the mission of The Great Divide. The Great Divide is a three piece collective of best friends based out of Chicago, IL, formed in late 2013. The band prides themselves on doing everything independently, from recording their own music to running all aspects of their business and marketing. The Great Divide believes that with enough hard work, dedication, and a strong vision, anyone can create their own reality, and that much is apparent from their work ethic and devotion to their music.
